Prosthesis

This prosthesis is fitted and fabricated to all of the requirements of an individual socket.  This process is completed in our lab within 1-2 days.

Cleaning and Polishing of Eye Prosthesis

This process should be performed by Midwest Eye Laboratories every six months to help maintain the wearing comfort and to extend the life of the prosthesis material.

Scleral Shell

This prosthesis is a flush fitting or minimum clearance cover fitted over a live existing blind eye.

Conformer

A clear acrylic prosthesis used to maintain the socket structure. Most commonly used in the treatment of Anophthalmia and Microphthalmia in our pediatric patients.

Consultation

This is a NO CHARGE service which allows our Ocularist to explain the benefits of our prosthetic eyes and to address any questions or concerns you may have.
